The Modernized Russian Fashion Trends
Whenever the Russian people, even people from other countries, remember how the fashion was during the height of the cold war in the old Soviet Union time, they can only say it was shocking as the only color they saw was green and gray.
Today’s Russia is a much brighter horizon in the field of high fashion and things this past year were literally shining example of how much things have changed with the woman’s fashions being dominated by various flashy and shimmering silver and other colors of various tough cotton and silk fabrics.
Some designers have leaned towards the romantic side of life with styles and designs that literally seem like they are going to ooze from the body and just flow and beg to be seen. Much like you might expect at a Paris fashion show.
The past few years, the fashion continues to progress as designers create different lovely accessories that match the equally lovely dresses, blouses, coats, and skirts. The dominant colors of earthy tones of blue and brown make it more appealing. Fashion shows are never complete without the display of knitted wears, mostly made of cashmere, cotton, and wool.
When it comes to elegance, Russian fashion is noticeable with its comfortable yet hippy style, with a little touch of adventure in each style. You will see how, even in semi loose clothes, that shows the curves and form of the woman wearing it but not too exposed, the sensuality is still there as she remained mysterious in the style of clothing. Such style made the Russian fashion really a world-class, especially now that their designs and styles are modernized.
If you have seen the Russian fashion trends as shown and displayed this year, you probably noticed how the designers were able to make styles that resemble the west coast punk of the United States with the chic of the east coast with a little touch of a corporate theme. The styles are mostly loose, flowing lines at the bottom, and earthy in colors. No wonder it gained the attraction of women throughout the world as such styles can fit well on any body type.
All in all it has been a rather unique and visually enriched year in Russian fashion and the trend shows every sign of continuing to turn heads into the year 2010 so there is a good chance that there will be many suprizes in store for the fashion buying public in Moscow and beyond with plenty of rich colors and flash to appease the modern woman and yet enough tradition to attract and excite the traditionalists and enough in between the two to keep everyone happy and ready to see the next big thing.
The trend used to be that the designers in Russia followed the rest of the world and pretty much copied the trends. Lately, it has been the designers in Russia that have been setting standards that the rest of the world has to strive to live up to and the consumer is the ultimate winner in that competition.

2009 – 2010 USA Fashion Trends
Fashion is one of the biggest industries in the United States. The upcoming year is no exception. Many people are wondering what the newest fashion trends are for 2009 and 2010. Fashion week in New York gave us a great idea of the upcoming trends. Here is a look at some of the most wearable trends of the seasons.
Zippers As Adding Zap!
Yes that’s right; punk rockers are not the only people who can sport zippers on their clothing. Fashion week showed us that zippers can be a stunning asset to any article of clothing. We saw zippers on boots, skirts and even tee shirts!
The Relaxed Fit Is Trendy
Relaxed fit pants are definitely in this year, so save the skinny jeans for another time. Loose fitting comfortable jeans and trousers are great with casual tops or even dressier attire for evenings out. And who wants to argue with comfort?
Silky Sensations
Silky, satiny fabrics are making a sensation this season. Dresses, skirts, blouses, and even loose elegant tank tops took center stage in New York at fashion week. In addition to adding texture and style, these fluid fabrics add a touch of elegance to any outfit. Even a pair of jeans is dressy with a silky tank top and simple accessories.
Pink
Pink is defiantly the color for 09. The good news is that is a shad of pink for just about everyone. Women with olive complexions and dark hair look great in hot pink and magenta tones. Girls with lighter skin tones should stick with more pastel colors. This is a great time to show off your girly side and add some pink to your wardrobe.
Big, Bulky Beads Are Back
Accessorize this season with super large necklaces. These are a great way to dress up a so-so shirt. Invest in some oversized necklaces in a verity of colors this season.
Big Big Bags
This trend makes me incredibly happy, because I am the one who carries everything short of the vacuum cleaner in her purse. Big purses are defiantly in style this year. Big bags some in a verity of styles and colors to suite almost any taste.
Neon Colors Are Hot
The 1980′s were known for in-your-face neon colors that made a fashion statement. And that statement is making a repeat performance this year. Bold and bright fluorescent shades of pink, orange, green, and yellow are definitely in! Matched up with denim jeans, they fit in perfectly with the new vibrant casual scene.
Suit It Up-In Pastels
While black pantsuits have always been a classic trend-and they’re still great-the newest rage is all about pastels. Pale pink, lavender, light yellow, mint green, and baby blue pantsuits will make a splash this spring. So sweeten up your wardrobe with a little light color in a new pantsuit.
Bold Is Beautiful
Though it might seem a contrast or the opposite-and it is-bold solids and patterns are also very “in” this year. So ditch the prints for now and stick to solids, but go for bold colors or patterns. For extra fun, layer it up!
